It’s a Family Affair!
A Note from the Editor: It is a joy to use this platform to present new talent to the world. I received the following letter from a proud father who has been teaching music to his children and is now helping to produce their first album. My father taught me to play the piano, so this letter (translated) really warmed my heart as I am sure that it will warm yours. And you will love the music!
A Proud Father’s Letter – From Israel Rodríguez
Natalia Rodríguez nació el 12 de enero del 2005 en Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. A los 3 años tomó sus primeras clases de música particulares y a los 8 años ingresó a la Orquesta Infantil y Juvenil de Zihuatanejo.
Natalia was born on January 12, 2005, in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. She started her first music classes at the age of 3, and at 8, she started playing with the Children’s Youth Orchestra of Zihuatanejo.
Después dejó la orquesta para comenzar un dueto junto con su hermano Diego Rodríguez tomando clases particulares. Su primera presentación fue en el Festival Internacional de la Guitarra 2018. Y a partir de esa fecha ha tenido varias presentaciones en sitios públicos como el Museo de la costa grande y también en diferentes hoteles de Ixtapa Zihuatanejo
After she left the orchestra, she started a duet together with her brother Diego Rodríguez, taking private lessons. Her first performance was at the 2018 Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival. Since then, she has had several presentations in public places such as the Museo de la Costa Grande (the museum in Zihuatanejo) and in different hotels in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo.
Actualmente se encuentra en la producción de su primer álbum en el que interpretará algunas canciones de la música mexicana y otras composiciones propias. Ella espera que este nuevo álbum sea lanzado antes de fin de año.
She is currently in the production of her first album in which she will perform some songs of Mexican music and her own compositions. She hopes that this new album will be released before the end of the year.
