Mexicans and Foreigners Must Carry ID to Travel

In an effort to reduce migration from Central America to the United States, the government of Mexico now requires that passengers must present official identification before purchasing a long-distance bus ticket.

Bus companies will now ask for the name and official identification of the passenger. No passengers will be allowed to board without proper identification.
