Mexico Switches to a 10-Digit System like the USA and Canada

In August 2019, Mexico converted to the standard 10-digit telephone dialing system consisting of the area code and phone number. All telephone numbers whether landline or cellular, local or long distance will have a total of 10 digits, according to the Federal Institute of Telecommunications. This is the same type of dialing system that is used in the USA and Canada.
