A Busy Month in Mexico – Our May 2024 Edition

May is a busy month in Mexico with national and international holidays, religious celebrations, and cultural observances. In this issue, we included articles, photos, and videos about Labor Day, Cinco de Mayo, and the Sacred Mayan Journey held this month.  Do NOT forget Mother’s Day, celebrated on May 10th in Mexico (May 12th in the USA and Canada). May 11th is International Migratory Bird Day. We included an article about birdwatching in Mexico. Enjoy learning about the beautiful purple jacaranda trees from Brazil that bloom in the spring and were brought to Mexico by a Japanese immigrant.

We included activities for our youth! Young people Children and youth up to 25 years old can enter the Goi Foundation international essay contest. The deadline is June 15, 2024. Youth can also participate in the Peace Pals International Art Contest. Details are in this issue.
