This month, Mexico and Spanish countries celebrate the “Día de la Raza” in homage to their native cultures. It is time to end the myth of Columbus and pay tribute to the native people who inhabited the “Americas.”  Mexico has 68 officially recognized “indigenous groups” identified by their native languages.

We also recognize the diversity of Mexico this month with articles about indigenous groups, Afro-Mexicans, gender equality, and the LGBTQ+ community.
