Events in July in paradise are light, bright, and family focused. The time of the Canicula (a usually three week period of sunny skies in the midst of the rainy season) is a quiet time with few tourists. Communities are turning attention to preparing for the end of school terms and the beginning of a summer break.
Time moves even more slowly than normal with an extra, relaxed grace. For those who love the opportunity of going deeper into a local experience, and are undaunted by slightly higher temperatures, it’s a wonderful peaceful time to visit. Hotels and restaurants are open and often offering enticing discounts.
